Role Sustainability/ ESG Consultant Location: Walton-on-Thames (Hybrid) Salary: £30 000- £45 000 (Depending on Experience) Timely Recruit is recruiting for a Sustainability Consultant who will be tasked to reduce Co2, reduce energy consumption, advise on sustainability and take care of compliance needs. This position is due to growth within the Consultancy to achieve ESG and Sustainability aims. Job Description Sustainability Consultant Primary focus will be the writing of ESG Impact Reports, advising on ESG targets and providing recommendations to achieve these. The role will also involve calculating Net Zero baseline emissions and creating carbon reduction plans for clients. Post the reporting process, clients are scored and benchmarked against a number of ESG metrics and provided with an annual action plan programme. You will be required to: Calculate carbon footprint and advise on offsetting and reduce Co2 Devise Sustainability/ ESG policies and strategies. Devise CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and Sustainability strategies and policies. Recommend courses of Sustainability action Create impact reports Engage with supply chains Engage with client staff Be aware of and implement best practice ESG Impact/Sustainability reports Net Zero baseline calculations & reduction plans Climate Risk strategy and TCFD reporting ESG assessment and strategy development Social Value gap analysis and reporting Stakeholder Materiality Assessments & Surveys You must possess: You will have experience working as a Consultant - in either Environmental or Social or Governance or ESG background. Leading on Sustainability strategies. Excellent communication skills and confidence is key. Exposure to an array of sectors (if one of these is advising Private Equity this would be a bonus). CSR experience Have a passion for ESG and net zero. A university degree qualification with minimum 5 years work experience post university The successful candidate would need to have a proven track record in writing reports/articles to deadlines. This could be in a different field to ESG. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Take pride in ensuring all work is accurate and client delivery is of a high standard.
