Let us introduce you to Joe:
Joe loves being out and about in the community, going for long walks (especially on those rare sunny days in Scotland) and just being as generally active as possible. Joe also requires assistance with personal care and meal preparation. A typical day could be assisting Joe to wash and dress, going to the shops to ensure Joe has all the essentials he needs, or even just to have a wander around his local community. Sadly, it's not always possible for Joe to enjoy what many people would consider these simple pleasures' without proper, dedicated support.
Let us introduce you to Claire:
Like Joe, Claire enjoys socialising and she is trying to build on this. Claire needs support with personal care, medication and meal preparation, although she will participate in helping with preparing her meals. Claire enjoys some pampering. She loves her nails and hair to be done regularly. Sadly, it's not always possible for Claire to enjoy what many people would consider these simple pleasures' without proper, dedicated support.
That is why Joe and Claire need you! Will you bring your best so that Joe and Claire can live their best life?
£1000 Qualification Payment for successful applicants who are holders of SVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care*
Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with ENABLE Scotland is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and above all, desire to support Joe and Claire to get the most out of life; then please apply now!
