Role: Space Planner Location: Dublin Job Purpose: Represent the clients Workplace Design team at project meetings across the EMEA region. Some international business travel required, including occasional weekend travel. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate and work with Workplace Design to ensure that the overall direction of the company design guidelines are adhere to. Collaborate with architects, external designers. GC / Construction Project Managers, Furniture vendors and internal teams to adhere to global space design and global furniture guidelines. Support internal teams with regard to end user requirements and share comments on test fits plans, look and feel and/or space plans based upon programming requirements. Strong technical aptitude as it relates to furniture, fixtures and equipment in the workplace. Support internal teams and provide design direction at all stages of design development with regards to workplace standards, design reconfigurations and furniture selection layouts. Supporting operational and daily furniture logistics including liaising with vendors, track orders to ensure alignment with timelines and liaising with Vendor's on installation of furniture. Represent Workplace Design at project meetings across EMEA and manage an internal tracker of project updates. This role includes the provision of space planning services, AutoCAD drawing support, design schedules and, furniture design and applicable technical support. Conduct site audits of existing sites and report findings. Communicate and coordinate with high level management on requests. Ability to prioritize, coordinate and execute under deadlines. Provide weekly updates on project review status reporting and maintain typical project documentation as required. Participate in global team meeting and knowledge share calls. Communication with management, prepare and make presentations to leadership and other teams within the business. Other duties may be assigned. Person Specification Education Architect / Architectural Technologist / Interior Architecture College Degree. Skills Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and prepare and make presentations to wider teams and managers. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees, client or team members. Fluent written and spoken English. High degree is skills in AutoCAD, producing and managing design schedules and furniture design. Well organised and a high degree of efficiency in your work. Knowledge Provision of space planning services, AutoCAD drawing support, design schedules and, furniture design and applicable technical support. Experience 5 years + related work experience in a fast paced high tech environment in Work Place Design, Interior Design and Office Fit Outs. Aptitude AutoCAD Proficient. Work Place Design, Furniture and Office Fit Outs. Circumstances Business travel may be required in this role within the EMEA region. Circa 10-20% travel may be required.
