As a Sr. Tableau Developer and Data Scientist, this team member will have a superior development background that will facilitate design & development of dashboards and data analysis solutions. They will interact with Product Owners, Analysts, Scrum Masters and peer developers to analyze requirements, design and develop dashboards using Tableau, most of which utilize Jira data, Agile methodologies and metrics, along with strong data validations & analytics capabilities using SQL Server, SQL queries and MS-Excel. These solutions will be constructed to enable CIGNA technology clients to accomplish their business objectives. They will also be working with different parts of Technology and Business Organization and socializing the metrics and data with the members and managers from the Senior Leadership teams. This role is for the candidates with high levels of reporting/data analytics experience, along with a strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and familiarities with Jira.


Responsible for dashboard development using Tableau Software.

Converts Jira data into meaningful metrics and views.

Constructs & maintains data sets using SQL Server & queries.

Advanced MS-Excel skills for data investigations.

Responsible for documentation of their processes.

Attention to details and heavy focus on quality is required.

Should be able to bring & discuss best practices with team and stakeholders.

Should be able to manage the data storage and quality testing

Prepare various reports and presentations for management.

Good inter-personnel skills with core and extended teams.

Willingness to experiment and learn new tools and technologies.

Anticipate customers' analytic needs and proactively conceptualize Intelligence solutions.

Active support by providing prompt responses to customer inquiries.


Degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent job experience.

4-7 years experience with the development of Business Intelligence systems.

Tableau experience is required.

SQL queries and SQL Server database experience is required.

Agile Methodologies and Jira data knowledge is required.

Strong MS-Excel experience for data analysis is preferred.

Knowledge of the healthcare business is preferred.

Ability to professionally communicate, both orally and in writing.

Ability to articulate and translate technical language to non-technical customers.

Ability to do presentations and Demos to the customers.

Demonstrates and promotes creativity and innovation.

Must work well in the team environment while owning the responsibility of their own deliverables, and driving the overall project for their deliverables.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

Demonstrated ability to (1) Develop advanced Tableau dashboards, (2) Proficient with SQL server and Agile data, (3) be analytical, (4) strong customer relationship skills, (5) strong communication skills (6) detail oriented and thorough, (7) ability to manage and prioritize multiple assigned tasks; (8) Be able to work independently.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $106,100 - $176,900, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
