The job in a nutshell

We are looking for an Assistant to join the UK Account Manager team. You will serve as a point of contact for the entire breadth of our private client base, communicating new releases, offers, tastings and services on behalf of Account Managers. You will collate, process and where necessary, allocate the resulting sales and queries. You will provide general support for Private Clients and Account Managers and ensure we deliver the best possible level of service.

Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented, has an excellent knowledge of customer service best practices, understands that private clients are at the core of the business and is driven by a desire to deliver the best possible service. Exceptional organisational skills and ability to react to private client requests, the market and opportunities is vital to bring success to this role.

Ultimately, you will be required to deliver high quality customer service, manage HNW private clients, have a strong understanding of the Cellar Plan, a good degree of wine and spirits knowledge and work within the team to excel.

Working alongside the UK Account Manager and buying teams, you will be responsible for delivering £5m+ of sales per year across a private client portfolio numbering more than 5,000.

What you will do

  • Working alongside the Account Manager team and management to ensure offers and opportunities, including tasting tickets and service led communications are sent in a timely and effective manner to the appropriate private clients.
  • Providing a comprehensive and high-level service to private clients.
  • Coordination of offers from Fine Wine inbox and Cellar Plan via the Apsis emailing system, including managing unsubscribe requests.
  • Operate within GDPR guidelines and ensure systems and processes remain compliant.
  • Coordination of processing of private client sales including managing the inbox for For Wine & Cellar Plan.
  • Advising private clients and selling a broad range of BB&R products and services, helping to manage Account Managers' private client portfolios in their absence.
  • Resolve stock issues occasionally encountered in the buying process, delivering the best resolution and experience for our private clients.
  • Timely response to private client communication, usually by telephone or email.
  • Offering relevant, quality advice to private clients and providing comprehensive and accurate information on trading wine.
  • Maintain and update sales and private client records.
  • Communicate important feedback from private clients internally.
  • Ensuring agreed sales and Gross Profit targets are met or exceeded.
  • To ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation

Experience / Achievements

  • Strong organisations skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven work experience as a sales and service administrator or sales and service support agent.
  • A team player with high level of dedication.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Customer service within a high-quality business.
  • A broad and strong knowledge of wine and if possible, the wine market.
