Position Description:

The Director of Marketing plans, controls and directs all marketing activities for BWB to maintain and improve the strategic and tactical objectives of the company. The Director of Marketing will create and implement the go to market approach while aligning with key retailer objectives in an omni-channel distribution environment. Finally, this role will own brand positioning and contribute to a multi-year-year strategic outlook, as well as manage, train and develop a team of direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities:


Lead, plan, and implement launch of global programs for all omni-channel distribution channels and diverse geographies, including: 

  • New Product Development
  • Merchandising
  • PR, influencer and social media strategy
  • eCommerce planning, marketing, promotion, etc.
  • Traditional and partnership marketing
  • Media support; and
  • Retailer marketing programs

Set and achieve annual KPIs to improve brand health metrics through development of robust consumer engagement strategy and plans by:

  • Creating traditional/digital marketing strategy and campaigns, from concept to execution, including agency, vendor management, social media and PR/influencer plans
  • Implementing an integrated consumer brand experience by leading global marketing strategies
  • Providing guidance and oversight on brand asset usage, messaging and overall proper portrayal to international business leads and trusted partners

Own and grow global brand hierarchy & positioning, delivering a cohesive brand experience by:

  • Developing all brand hierarchy elements, evaluating for relevance and updating as necessary
  • Creating persuasive consumer stories for all brands
  • Designing the communication strategy for the portfolio (imagery, digital, point of sale) consistent with the brand's identity

Act as a subject matter expert by:

  • Monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, social media, and experiential landscape to inform all existing materials and/or inspire the development of new materials and experiences
  • Maintaining current knowledge of category level market performance
  • Participating in buyer sales meetings as subject matter expert as needed
  • Possessing a deep level understanding of consumer behavioral insights and their correlation to current brand performance and future strategic planning



Manage budget successfully and accurately by:

  • Developing, managing, and executing the annual brands budget
  • Working with finance to reconcile marketing budgets

Lead team by:

  • Managing and coaching direct reports on a daily basis to ensure alignment on strategic focus, scheduling and information accuracy
  • Keeping team informed, updated and motivated about vision and changes in direction

Primary Requirements:

Professional Attributes:

  • 5-7 years of proven success in product marketing and/or brand management
  • 2-3 years at a marketing management level (or equivalent, leading a team)
  • Demonstrated success leading (or participating in) a brand and cross functional teams with a high degree of autonomy
  • Keen understanding of marketing and financial fundamentals and strong ability to implement against these fundamentals 
  • Experience in brand strategy, consumer & customer insights, budget management and P&L exposure
  • Consumer products generally and/or personal care experience specifically is preferred but not required
  • Experience with mass and specialty retailers strongly preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree
