Marketing Automation Associate

Incredible opportunity to join a dynamic, growing Marketing team in supporting a range of marketing efforts in rapidly expanding organization. The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for assisting the Integrated Marketing Specialist with email marketing campaigns and programs in support of commercial and retail product sales. Overall functional responsibilities include the execution and analysis of automated Marketo email campaigns to ensure campaigns effectively engage, educate, acquire, and nurture members. This is a highly interactive, hands-on position that interacts with multiple departments, levels of management and vendors.

Collaborate with Marketing and Strategic Intelligence to coordinate automated marketing programs and campaigns within the Marketo marketing system. Maintain technical knowledge by attending vendor workshops/training, reviewing professional publications and participating in other activities as appropriate.


  • Manage the daily upkeep of the Marketo system. Administer the setup of email marketing initiatives, including data management and content development in Marketo. Collaborate with Communications & Design Coordinator and Digital Media Specialist to create campaign landing pages and templates that optimize conversion rates. Ensure overall compliance of creative material to Metro's brand standards.
  • Create and schedule reports and deliver data metrics for all Marketo campaigns including monthly email performance reports. Deliver insights and observations relative to campaign performance to evolve Metro's brand and optimize campaigns to maximize product sales and ROI.
  • Assist with the execution and analysis of A/B testing to define enhancements to productivity, conversion rates, sales growth and campaign ROI. Prepare recommendations on high performing and underperforming activities relating to campaign performance.


We seek a team player and self-starter who has the ability to identify problems, elaborate on the issues and develop a course of action(s) to be taken. Depending upon the scope of resolution, this person can either work with management's direction to implement or can be given the freedom to work independently on a resolution.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business intelligence/marketing analytics or related field;
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a marketing automation platform/CRM environment;
  • Marketo-specific experience strongly preferred;
  • Financial Institution experience preferred but not required.


  • Marketo Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), HTML, CSS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to think creatively to execute design and copywriting tasks as necessary.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • The ability to work in a deadline driven environment with multiple priorities running simultaneously.
