Terra Universal is growing and looking for an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer. This position offers a dynamic work environment designing and building a wide range of mechanical and electronic products. You will also play a critical role in creating and refining processes in order to improve manufacturing quality, productivity, and safety.
Operating in new facilities, the engineering team is equipped with up-to-date dual-screen systems operating SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AP100US, and other engineering software.
Success in this job requires creativity, persistence, plus familiarity with or a willingness to learn sheet metal, sheet plastic, and welding fabrication techniques.
Assist with design, assembly, improvement, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems for Terra's various product lines.
CAD Design: Generate drawings for customer approval. Generate drawings and CNC programs for manufacturing.
Manufacturing Support: Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes. Operate and train on state of the art machinery and robotics. Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate production process and evaluate potential changes.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
BS ME or similar degree
Minimum 1 years manufacturing or design experience
Desired Familiarity with:
Sheet Plastic Design
Sheet Metal Design
Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S
This position is nonexempt, full-time, with start times scheduled between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The facility is at 800 S. Raymond, Fullerton CA.
