To achieve this goal, we are looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator. If you are motivated to contribute, we would appreciate your application to improve the health and safety of our employees. The WHS Coordinator will be part of the local WHS team and must be able to learn Amazon's processes quickly. An ideal candidate should be organized, detail oriented, packed with excellent interpersonal and writing skills. The WHS Coordinator must have basical analytical skills and should be able to identify any gaps in processes and suggest improvements. The WHS Coordinator must be able to complete various tasks and plan time effectively. Efficiency and accuracy as well as being proactive in addressing issues and problems is a big plus. Knowledge and interest in various IT tools is required (e.g. Microsoft Office, Wiki, SharePoint, Asana).

The Health & Safety Coordinator will be responsible for :
  • Support in planning, coordination and implementation of occupational health and safety measures
  • Providing cross-shift support as peer for employees and managers in order to comply with occupational health and safety requirements
  • Conducting preventive site inspections to identify potential local risks in order to eleminate them with appropriate measures
  • Assisting in the investigation of incidents and near misses
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to improve local workplace safety
  • Supporting and monitoring local health activities
  • Complete action plans as follow up from audits and authority visits
  • Assist with organization of site-specific trainings for managers and employees
  • Ensuring the high quality first aid for employees
  • Acting as safety consultant for technical maintenance and repair tasks


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Vocational training and relevant work experience in logistics or technical professions OR
  • Alternative: Appropriate basic technical understanding
  • Graduates from occupational health and safety studies
  • Motivation to actively improve occupational health and safety
  • High level of sustained care and consisting attention for own tasks
  • Ability to learn quickly while closely following new processes and procedures
  • Able to work independently, sometimes under minimal supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the business
  • Great team player who contributes to a positive and healthy work environment
  • Good knowledge and skills working with IT programs (e.g. MS Office)
  • Strong communication skills and open mindedness
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Speaking english on appropriate level (B2)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Qualifications
  • Qualifications in health management or occupational safety or the wish to complete it
