PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As Head of L&D you will build and lead of a learning and development strategy based on the needs of our ever growing business. As an expert in your field, you will bring ideas for improvements, provide personal development to the L&D team via coaching and mentoring, take ownership of the end of end learning journey, and measure success through the implementation of ROI. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS HEAD OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT: Build and bring to life a learning and development strategy that compliments our Grow 2025 strategy Review current learning offerings and suggest improvements with engagement as priority Carry out capability assessments across the organisation and implement development to fill the gaps Drive a culture of continuous professional development Lead by example with a coaching style of training and development Create personalised development plans for the learning and development team, providing dedicated time to their own personal development Implement a system for monitoring engagement and ROI Manage the learning and development budget HERE ARE THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: Experience in a strategic Learning and Development management role Understanding of personal injury legal processes Experience of leading and developing a team Engaging and inspiring communication skills Ability to create trusted stakeholder relationships Experience and ability in building strong working relationships and influencing at all levels Experience of learning management systems, especially implementation, would be advantageous AND HERE ARE SOME OF THE PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD FIT THIS ROLE AND FIT OUR BUSINESS: Passionate about people development A natural coach Adaptable to manage different learning styles Driven by employee engagement Curious to challenge the status quo Unified, working together towards the same goal In addition to a competitive salary, we offer 25 days holiday, a contributory pension and a healthcare scheme with Simply Health.
