About the Charity This charity supports individuals and their families in need and therefore the team this role sits in plays a key part in providing excellent customer care to visitors and applicants. Their mission is to raise vital funds and distribute millions of pounds to relevant charities. They support at every stage of life from fitness to finance right through to quality and end of life care. The Opportunity This role offers a great variety of tasks all essential to the position. The role is broken down into key areas; As Administrator you will be responsible for providing a general efficient admin service as required to support the grants department - they administer a large number of dedicated funds for a wide range of groups. You will act professionally and approach-ably as first point of call for queries from grant applicants and prospective applicants. Building a great rapport with amazing contacts both internally and externally is a key part of this role along with producing engaging letters for grant applicants which you will receive training on however attention to detail is vital. You will always keep records and accurately update through the grants management system, again you will be shown how to do this. It's important that you retrieve and monitor applicants from the online portal. You must ensure all incoming enquiries via different forms of communication are dealt with correctly and in a timely manner to include email and telephone. You will sometimes support the grants committee with organising exciting and important meetings/events, this could include hospitality arrangements and booking rooms. Overall you will be a great team player who can help deliver ad-hoc projects, positively contribute to meetings and support this exciting charity, such a rewarding role!
