About the role:
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.
What you will be doing:
Participate in technical designs of new features and services, which involve doing investigations, code analysis and collaborating closely with partner teams.
Deliver high quality features which involve contributing to design, development, testing and release.
Participate actively in code reviews and maintain high quality standards.
Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Assess impacts of architectural direction in the areas of Security, Availability, Performance, Maintainability, and Scalability.
Participating in Performance tuning activities and looking for opportunities to improve platform performance.
Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
What you will need:
At least 5 years of experience in delivering software solutions in either consumer or enterprise space.
3+ years of experience in .NET and related frameworks.
3+ years of system design.
Experience deploying distributed apps/services on Azure platforms.
Bachelor's Degree or Higher in computer science, Information Technology, or related field required.
Understanding of Agile software development model
Bonus if you have:
Good understanding of Kafka, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
Experience with Cloud-based (both Azure and AWS) services from .NET, and designing/coding microservice APIs targeting .NET 6
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills.
Excellent collaboration skills within and across teams.
Ability to connect technology with measurable business value.
Be self-driven and show ability to deliver on ambiguous technical challenges with incomplete data.
Ability to drive deep internal engineering conversations on potential strategy toward improving our Azure Data Services and own this input end to end.
Able to support all phases of the product development cycle including architecture, design, development, debugging, documentation, and validation.
Payments and/or point-of-sale experience a plus.
