Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Axon manufactures shrink sleeving, tamper evident banding, stretch sleeve applicators, and heat shrink tunnels that are engineered for reliability, flexibility, and value. Utilizing continuous motion technology, Axon product labeling equipment applications include beverages, processed foods in tubs and jars, cultured dairy products, pharmaceuticals, health & beauty aids, novelties, and household products. 

Are you passionate about this work?

    • Be the right hand to the General manager and a strategic partner to the business, assisting with setting goals and initiatives for future growth, and to drive process improvements.
    • Manage and direct AR/AP, payroll, budget, forecasting, job costing, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.
    • Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget goals, fiscal soundness, and operating effectiveness of the company.
    • Ensure the accurate completion of all required reports, month end and year-end close, financial analysis, and annual audit.
    • Maintain the company's system of accounts and oversee the records on company transactions and assets.
    • Maintain fixed asset records of the company, prepare capital expenditure requests and justifications, and determine depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items.
    • Interface and act as a financial and systems resource to customer and internal departments.
    • Coordinate with treasury, tax, and financial shared services organizations to control disbursements, establish and maintain credit terms, collect receivables, and comply with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
    • Provide leadership for maximizing the company's ERP and other business information systems.
    • Develop capital/operating budgets and manning requirements for accounting area.

     Does this sound like you? 

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
    • 8+ years' experience in finance and accounting, strong preference for manufacturing environment.
    • Strong background in financial analysis.
    • Experience with ERP development and implementation.
    • Systems reporting experience in a large, expanded ERP environment such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Syteline.
    • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel and Word.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multitasked role.
    • Good written and oral communications skills.
    • Analytical skills to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data.
    • Ability to use intuition and experience to complement data and design workflows and procedures.
    • Good problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
