The Controls Engineer will implement design and verification of new control system applications. This includes equipment upgrades associated with production of products and new controls projects and upgrades impacting equipment and facilities


The Controls Engineer will have responsibility for leading the Management of Change Process for all activities affecting equipment and facilities.


REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical)
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing systems design or capital project engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in programming/developing/troubleshooting/configuring PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software for control systems, including control panel designs and line integration
  • Proficiency with software such as Rockwell, Autocad, Soildworks, SQL server, Panelview, RS view, FactoryTalk
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley controls/controllers and PLCs
  • General knowledge of manufacturing machinery and basic mechanical aptitude


PREFERRED:

  • Experience with Siemens and Mitsubishi controls/controllers and PLCs
  • Experience with motion control to include Servo Drives, VFD's and Stepper Drives
  • Experience with Vision Systems and Robots
  • Knowledge in network infrastructure with a focus on how it relates to the automation systems
